New Monster Hunter demo due in June

Capcom promises multiple missions.

A downloadable demo is on the way for forthcoming PSP title Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

According to the Capcom blog, it'll feature multiple missions you can complete in single-player, with the help of a Felyne knight, or multiplayer.

"To help newcomers hunt some of the bigger beasties and get a taste of the deeper action, we created higher level characters skilled at each of the major weapon types," the blog post reads. "Basically, the demo gets you into the hunt as quickly as possible."

The demo should hit the PSP Store in early June. A release date for the full game has yet to be announced.

i always loved monster hunter - but i could never get any of my friends to play it with me! Why don't they get around to releasing Frontier over here! :(

Still looking forward to trying the demo :)

Oh... between this and Monster Hunter Tri on Wii, I'd say a lot of my hours by the end of the year are booked...

I'm surprised it's taking Capcom so long to release the game over here. It's not like it's dialogue heavy and it's been out in Japan for over a year now as MHF 2G.

Looking forward to both this and the Wii game.

My oldest son has just started playing MHF on his PSP, and we're having the best time doing co-op missions. Absolutely the greatest co-op experience I've had in any game...so I can't wait for this new one.

At least it's a demo, rather than the demo video that the Japanese got at MHP2G's release.
