A new game based on classic strategy series Magic: The Gathering is in development for PC and PS3.

Titled Magic: The Gathering - Tactics, it will feature turn-based gameplay, 3D visuals and online functionality. You'll be able to command forces and use spell cards, either in the single-player game or PvP mode.

Regular expansions, tournaments and original stories are promised, along with an achievement and rankings programme.

Magic: The Gathering - Tactics is being developed by Sony Online Entertainment's Denver studio. The PC version is due out early next year, with the PS3 game to follow.
