New Leisure Suit Larry disrobed

Box Office Bust for PS3, 360 and PC.

Sierra has finally confirmed reports that it has a new Leisure Suit Larry game in production.

Called Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust, it's due out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this autumn, and is in development at the UK's very own Team 17.

In it, "lovable loser" Larry is working for the summer at a film studio belonging to his uncle, who happens to be the original Larry.

He ends up having to uncover the identity of a mole from a rival film studio who is on the verge of selling dirty stories about his uncle's outfit to the papers.

And if Larry's working there then dirty stories are inevitable, since his reason for being is usually cack-handedly seducing women across a range of increasingly absurd scenarios.

Still, this one sounds a bit different to the adventure games of old, promising "open world sand box gameplay that includes exploration, platforming, racing and puzzle-solving to complete missions".

You will also be able to direct your own "Larry Feature", so watch out Paris Hilton.

Sierra has also revealed that the voice cast includes Jay Mohr (Last Comic Standing), Dave Attell (Insomniac), Shannon Elizabeth, Carmen Electra, Artie Lange (Mad TV), Patrick Warburton (Family Guy), Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), Nikki Cox (Las Vegas), Peter Graves (Mission Impossible), Jane Lynch (The 40 Year Old Virgin), and Josh Keaton (The Spectacular Spider-Man) as the voice of Larry Loveage.

Plus, the reason we knew about the game in the first place was Howard Stern claiming he was to play someone called Big Al, so presumably he's in it.

Watch out for more on Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust as it reveals itself.

New Leisure Suit Larry should be a Wii game. Coming to think about it; if Nintendo wasn't so up-tight, Wii could be a perfect console for "next-gen" X-rated games=) They'd make (extra) millions on that! It surprises me that this "genre" is still waiting to be taped. Maybe it needs its very own platform, defenitively with motion controls though=) The first company that'll seriously go this route will make a fortune.

Oh, kghm, anywayz, New Larry, yeah, cool.

Who the fuck wants to play Leisure Suit Larry GTA? Some of the old graphic adventures weren't bad (well, I only played number 6, but the others got decent reviews), why don't they stick to what the franchise it known for?

I thought MS and Sony didn't want this sort of game on their consoles?

Minigames again, eh? If Al Lowe were dead he'd be rotating in his (extra wide) grave.

    It's not mini-games.

Actually, I think Al Lowe might actually enjoy the script and voice-acting, its really rather funny.

I'll reserve judgement then, even though my Spidey senses tell me you might not be the most impartial of observers ;)

LMAO! Leisure Suit Larry Kart Racing™!

'Don't know how to make your game fun?'
'Having trouble getting your game length up?'
'Don't know how to take your gameplay deeper?'

Add kart racing of course! 8)

Very brave young smelly. Takes guts to type such cutting remarks from the relative safety of your keyboard, I'm surprised you're up so late - however it's the weekend so mum probably doesn't mind eh. If you're ever in Wakefield and wish to relay your lovely comments to any of our actually rather fine people (not that you'd know) then you'd be welcome.

Congratulations on becoming 'ignored'. Perhaps there's a scouts badge for it, mummy will be pleased eh.

I don't want another Larry like Magna Cum Laude.
The old Leisure Suit Larry games were great, like classic adventure games, not like GTA!!! Leisure Suit Larry Love For Sail was the best, but since Al Lowe isn't in the production team, the Larry games are too bad.
