New Final Fantasy for PSP
"Dissidia" website emerges.
Square Enix has launched a website for a new PSP game called Final Fantasy Dissidia.
Little is known about the game other than the inclusion of series heavyweight Tetsuya Nomura to lead the character design.
It's one of many announcements expected in and around this weekend's Square Enix Party in Japan, where the publisher is expected to unveil its future catalogue. Not for the entire future, obviously. Duh.
We couldn't get hold of anyone in the UK to confirm the game, probably because they're off gallivanting in Japan. But we've sent our own roving reporters that way to bring you all of the latest info and gossip from the show, so stay tuned.
Head over to the Final Fantasy Dissidia website for a closer inspection.

Sony and Square-Enix will be laughing.

Oh and I've just realised, this is a new bloody Final Fantasy game (at last!) - not some 15 year old port all over again as I was starting to get sick of reading Square-Enix's future releases being ports / remakes.

Yes, the first one since February 23rd. The drought is finally over.

I'm talking about Final Fantasy in general, especially on the DS and PSP where it has been receiving ports / remakes when a nice new Final Fantasy game would be more welcome.

I think it's down to Nintendo's first party that makes the difference, because when you look at the whole library from both perspectives there isn't much to shout about one over the other.
Which is very wierd.
Is it true Ratchet Clank Size Matters is coming out this week? If so Jesus Christ give my wallet time to cool down.

As I pointed out in the forums, the game is actually called "Dissidia - Final Fantasy" not the other way around, that fact plus the artwork on the site heavily suggests a spin off from the first game.

I agree, Cloudane, that the two characters in the Dissidia logo look like Shiva and Ifrit. I really have no idea what this game could be about, though. Has there been any rumours flying about that might concern thisgame?

Surely that should be a DS game? If it's for the PSP it should be call Pisspidia.

As far as I'm aware, Tactics is already going to the US but not yet as it's only just getting it's release in Japan.
