New DS Harvest Moon this winter News

DS News by Robert Purchese

7 October, 2009

Marvelous Entertainment plans to bring more DS Harvest Moon to Japan this winter.

The latest instalment, dubbed Twin Villages and outed in Famitsu (read by GoNintendo), adds raising alpacas and keeping bees to the cutesy farm-management simulation-RPG.

There are also two towns, hence the name - the mayors of which will vie for your residency. The European-styled Bluebell places more emphasis on animals, while the Japanese-styled Konohana is desperate for crops.

Also, marriage - presumably to a human - will still be a part of the game.

There are no European plans for Harvest Moon: Twin Villages.

I'm totally sold on this just based on the alpacas. Fucking epic.

When is another dev going to do a take on the genre and force them to innovate for once?

Why put a news story on eurogamer and go "There are no European plans for Harvest Moon: Twin Villages." what was the point of the story?!

I'd have thought the popularity of 'Farmville' on Facebook would show that there's a market for Harvest Moon type games here in the West.
NB - I've not actually played Farmville so I don't know if it's anything like HM.
