New CSI game coming to PC and consoles

Ray! Riley! Catherine! Nick! Not Warwick.

Ubisoft has signed up to produce another game based on CBS's popular modern-day version of Quincy.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Deadly Intent will see you solving murders alongside the characters from season nine of the TV show. So that means Ray Langston and Riley Adams, but probably not Warwick (RIP we miss you you were the fittest one XXX). There are five cases to investigate, all devised with the help of the TV programme's writers.

For the first time you'll be able to help other detectives out and gain their respect. You'll get to perform all the tasks of a CSI, just like on the TV show - collecting evidence at the crime scene, unveiling hidden clues, moving torches very slowly around the inside of cars for hours on end and looking at more blood and semen than you could ever dream of.

You'll also get to interview witnesses and suspects and there's an improved interrogation system, though if you've seen more than two episodes of the TV show you'll know it's always the second person you talk to. Plus you'll analyse evidence using the latest technology, i.e. putting little test tubes in the spinny machine and dipping cotton buds in blood and semen.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Deadly Intent: Too Many Colons will be released for PC, Wii, DS and Xbox 360 this autumn. Nope, there's no mention of a PS3 version. The Nintendo DS game will feature "additional bizarre cases" and "an enhanced questioning system", plus a unique storyline that links all the cases together. It'll make you "feel like a real CSI character", so like you're an ex-stripper who's obsessed with moths and addicted to gambling and gets buried alive with a load of red ants.

I played one of the previous ones, and it was a bit by the numbers. They should take a leaf out of "Condemned 2"'s book when it comes to crime scene investigation. The question system C2 used was brilliant.

Wow at that end bit Ellie! I assume you have no love for CSI then... but thanks for the laugh!

And the not supporting the PS3 begins, oh no.

I haven't seen CSI in ages, but isn't Warwick's name actually Warrick? Just a nitpicking thing actually, but since it's mentioned on the FP, I'd thought I'd mention it.

OT: I have no love for CSI anymore and the games were all full of shite. But there seems to be an audience for these games, so I hope that audience has fun with this game again. That way we can expect some more Ellie Gibson comical relief when the next game is announced.

I love CSI and the CSI games but I'm so far behind on the TV series I don't know who Ray and Riley are although I know Grissom and Sara have left and that Gary Dourdan got into some trouble and was sacked but that's it.
Is Greg going to be in the game? You missed the best one out if he is.

I'm going to get this game, I have all the other ones so why not? I'll have to see screenshots to decide which version to get.

The last two were quite basic but a fun ride for fans of the show. Telltale are doing it as well like the last 2, so at the very least it should be a solid 8 hours for fans. Hopefully they can match up to the entire "First Person Shooter" case from 3 Dimensions of Murder.
