New boxers for Fight Night Round 4 News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Ellie Gibson

3 November, 2009

A new batch of downloadable content is on the way for Fight Night Round 4.

As reported by IGN, it will include three new boxers - Bernard Hopkins, Sonny Liston and Evander Holyfield. You'll also get new game modes Old School Rules and Ring Rivalries, which will allow you to recreate around 20 historic boxing matches.

The DLC pack will cost 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80 / €9.60) or $9.99 on the US PSN (with a Euro price to be announced). It's due out early next month.

Meanwhile, the price of FNR4 has been slashed from $49.99 to $39.99 in the US - here's hoping we'll get a similar price cut in Europe.

Fight Night Round 4 scored a healthy 8/10 from Eurogamer back in June. Read our review for the full lowdown.

Wonder if theres a big chunk missing from Holyfield's ear... maybe you have to fight 'Iron Mike' to unlock it?

Old School rules? Does that mean if you choose Holyfield to fight Tyson, you can use the headbutt and get away with it?

DO we have to say the words complete rip off once again, you can buy the full game now for £15 at some places and a few boxers cost nearly a tenner(which add little imo)

For once donnie, I agree with you. What do you expect though? It's EA after all.

Hmf, personally I feel the whole game is broken, on account of the ludicrious "counter" emphasis. Playing the cpu was just depressing and frustrating. Returned this game after a few tries, honestly.

So, how much for this DLC again? :P
