Before I had heard of this game I was going to get a 360 but now I think I'll go for a PS3. Yes, I know it's out on both.

"And 50 Cent, presumably. Little is known about the story so far, but we're assuming it's another egotrip about guns, money, cars and gals as with just about all rap these days"

fixed.

Following all sorts of speculation, the sequel to 50 Cent: Bulletproof has officially been announced.

Speculation?

They say it like someone actually cared.

FFS from the sounds of the title it's going to be all about 25p and his Gay Unit taking on terrorism.

If it is then what a twat... I can see it now:

Puppet Master: So 50 cent you will be showing how street skills earned in the hood can also be used in the war on terror.
50 Cent: Yeeeah
Puppet Master: You'll be teaching the arab world what makes America great
50 Cent: Dat's right I'll be there in the Arab ghetto showing those mother fuckas what it's all about, I'll be dropping some lyrical brain bombs, that'll fuck up those terrorist mother fuckers
/Assorted Gay Unit whoops and yeahs
Puppet Master: Quite and it is still a game, you won't be going
50 Cent: What? I don't go... I thought I got to go there.
Puppet Master: Err no umm America needs you here that's why you can't go that's why it's a game
50 Cent: Yeah that's right America needs me more than some dumb ass Aye-Raqi fuck
Puppet Master: So in the game you will be pimping for Freedom
50 Cent: Yeeeah
Puppet Master: For Justice
50 Cent: Yeeeeah
Puppet Master: For the American way god bless us all.
50 Cent/Gay Unit: Woooh, I hear that bitch
50 Cent: Yeeah and I can git me some of them Aye-Raqi bitches too cos I heard they are damn hot under those Barbours know what I'm saying?
Puppet Master: I think you mean Burkas
50 Cent: Yeah, that's what I'm saying I'll have a mac with fries for me and my ni**as here.
/lots of patting chests and finger posings followed by murmurs of Yeah, Word, You got that etc.
Puppet Master: No, I said Burkas
50 Cent: I hear you bitch now get me them fries.
/Gay Unit laughs at their leaders temerity

/Puppet Master remembers he's dealing with an adolescent, spoilt idiot and wonders why he bothered talking to him in the first place, nobody else does.

From 1up:

"Where 50 Cent II's uniqueness really shines is the plot, which finds Fiddy and G-Unit stranded in an unnamed Middle Eastern country after a benefit concert goes awry. The rappers find themselves caught in the middle of a situation that cannot be solved by dope rhymes alone; cue the armory opening its doors."

A benefit concert in Iraq? With 50 Cent?! Probably the most bizarre story I've ever heard and definitely not "Three Kings meets Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels"...

The box for the game is probably just a small ds cartridge containing 25 cents change from the first game and a letter of apology.

All this animosity towards 50 Cent. I think it is fair to say that a fella who can sell his own fruit drink to Coca-Cola for $200m, is long way past caring what keyboard warriors think. Everybody here can rip the piss and make out like he is a musclebound simpleton, but he has never tried to portray himself as some sort of hip-hop saviour. Get rich or die trying. That's his mantra and that's what he did.

Not his fault that hip-hop has become shit. Hip-hop was in decline way before he had his first hit "How to rob". He's just a bloke that said, let's get paid. Luckily survives getting shot and automatically gets imself a Tupac-level of notoriety. Luckily has a few decent songs on his first album. Job done. I don't know about you guys, if I had that chance, I would have taken it. Instead of working for PWC.

That's all nice and interesting...though misses the point somehow.
Nobody gives a fuck whether hip hop was declining before or after 50 cent. The majority of his fans probably don't have a freaking clue about the hip hop (sub)culture anyway. The animosity against him as an "artist", his "music" and the games as a further business extension are directed against the stupidity he's trying to sell as entertainment not him personally. Since this is basically a consumer's comment section I don't see anything wrong in stating the ugly facts.

Would as many people be slagging the game off if it was '50 Cent's Hip Hop Star'?

i doubt it, the comments would be more like, 'I hate hip hop, and 50cent is annoying.' (similarly when Guitar Hero the 80's was announced). The problem with this game is that it is about a rap star going to the middle east and shooting muslims, it's ludicrous.

'Mentalist(air)' explained it best... 'It's John Le Mesurier's Darts all over again!'

Just stupid...

If his mantra is to "get rich or die trying", Vice Destroyer, I'm just wondering why it has to be an "either or" rather than an "and".

@Skeletor. Maybe I am missing the point. The way I am seeing it is that the fella has sold his soul for a very pretty penny. Maybe I am being naive, but I am imagining that he only involvement in the stupidity that he is selling as entertainment in this case is permission to use his likeness in a game with a ridiculous premise. But then comes my question, who is more stupid? The consumer that buys this pap in sufficient numbers to greenlight a sequel? Or the artist for lending his likeness?

As always, nothing wrong with stating the ugly facts, but point the finger at the people that are producing such patronising nonsense.

@guernican. Haha. Not a 50 Cent fan in the slightest then. To "Get rich and die trying", well, you'd have to be Amy-Winehouse-dumb to try that mantra. Now there is an artist who has gotten rich is trying to die.

Yes, Yes it is his fault, it's all his fault, anyone who becomes big and drags along some lackey called 'Tony Yayo' and 'Whoo da fuck' needs to take a share of the blame.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was just Eminem or just Fiddly but why do they have to bring their talentless mates along to fill in the other gaps in the rap video market (the rest of it being filled by Kanye Arse, Timbaland, and someone who once knew Biggie small's mum)

I listened to Eminem's Re-Up album recently and it was about 10 mins of Eminem before he handed the mic over to some gimp called Bobby Creekwater who sounded like he should be cleaning my nan's garden rather than attempting to be an MC, he thought he was a legend despite this being the first time he'd been recorded apart from when making a customer call

Frankly, i think Fiddly should take some of the blame for this debacle, even Snoop Dogg is about as interesting and relevant as a Nike commercial now and he started off with doggystyle for christs sake. The whole gangster thing was interesting around the time of that, Cypress hill and that amerikas most wanted album ice cube did (and NWA), but now it's just a bunch of tossbags who wear all new clothing for every video - how are we supposed to beleive they are gangsters unless gangsters are really keen on going down the laundrettes nowadays?

and who in the fook shot him 9 times - Stevie Wonder??

whoever it was was clearly a 'noob'

i think most of us could take 50 down in 3 shots maximum, that should be the game, pay 50 dollars and take a pop

Oh for fuck's sake, why waste Swordfish on this absolute shit; give us a Cold fucking Winter 2 you bastards.

So Vivendi want a piece of the third person cover/shooter game, and they can't be arsed to come up with their own concept so they crowbar in 50 Pence in what must surely be the worst videogame premise ever. Wankers.
