I'd expect it here as well, though the games won't be free.

Whatever happens, Europe will be shafted in some way, shape or form, as usual.

major nelson said it was coming to all territories except Europe,so i dont think it will make it over here, even if it did MS would charge more than what we could get the Elite and Fable 2/Halo 3 for seperately...$399=£274(and expect a bit more because of V.A.T.)

GAME have 360 Elites with Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda for £210...and i am sure you could find Fable 2 and Halo3 for less than the remaining £64(Fable 2 is £24.99 at GAME,and Halo 3 is now £16.99)

and these are GAMEs prices,i am sure you could find all this even cheaper if you looked...so really, this Elite Bundle is doing us a favour not being released here

I'm strangely happy that only one person so far has moaned, without trying to work out that a new Elite and those two games can be had for less than $399 in the UK. You should see the bottomless pit of whining british bitches on Major Nelson.

It makes you embarrassed to be a gamer.

Well, one thing to consider. $399 is the regular price for an Elite in America. The bundle means those two games are thrown in for nothing. People here seem to be assuming that the $399 price tag would translate exactly. Instead, think of it this way (if it were to come to Europe): For the price that you can get an Elite for today, when the promotion is on you would pay the same but get those two games thrown in for free.

@Kirly_Wombat, "Whatever happens, Europe will be shafted in some way, shape or form, as usual."

Out of the major 3 console manufacturers, MS tends to screw is a little less than the others. In fact, at present we are getting the far better deal for most of the consoles out there.

For example, based on todays (direct, excluding fees) exchange rate for the US Dollar and the UK Pound, and taking VAT out of the equatioin (as the US console prices are quoted without sales tax), you have the following:

360 Elite - US RRP Conversion Price: £273
360 Eliite - UK RRP Excluding VAT: £199

Therefore the Elite is £74 cheaper in the UK.

360 Pro - US RRP Conversion Price: £205
360 Pro - UK RRP Excluding VAT: £147

Therefore the Pro is £58 cheaper in the UK.

360 Arcade - US RRP Conversion Price: £136
360 Arcade - UK RRP Excluding VAT: £112

Therefore the Arcade is £24 cheaper in the UK.

The other consoles are slightly closer in parity with US Dollar

PS3 80GB - US RRP Conversion Price: £273
PS3 80GB - UK RRP Excluding VAT: £260

Therefore the PS3 is £13 cheaper in the UK.

Nintendo Wii - US RRP Conversion Price: £171
Nintendo Wii - UK RRP Excluding VAT: £173

Therefore the Wii is £2 more expensive in the UK.

We're not really being ripped off anymore ;)
