Naughty Dog game confirmed
Will have pirates, too. Yarr.
We mentioned recently that a modeller had lifted the lid on Naughty Dog's PS3 project, referring to it as "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" in his online portfolio.
That information, which miraculously disappeared from the internet, has been confirmed by Game Informer in preparation for its April cover story, which claims to: "take the wraps off Naughty Dog's next creation - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune".
Sony wasn't available to comment on this recent development, though we expect little more response than US sites received before: "We do not comment on rumors or speculation. No official announcement has been made."
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune follows the adventures of Nathan Drake in a tropical wilderness. It will apparently feature pirates, and looks to be inspired by the escapades of Indiana Jones. Pop over to Naughty Dog website to catch the action from last year's E3 show-reel.
You can also follow our mysterious trail to a new 3D screenshot for the game, which should be interpreted as an early glimpse at the various lighting and graphical effects we'll see.
