Namco Bandai to distribute Witcher 2
Date "2011", consoles not mentioned.
Namco Bandai has signed-on as European distributor of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
The role-playing game will launch on PC in 2011. There's no mention of a console release.
The Witcher 2 was abruptly announced following a leaked internal presentation video in September last year. Developer and publisher CD Projekt said console versions were planned but revealed no specific details.
We were also told back then that The Witcher 2 would appear on PC in Q1 2011. That "Q1" is absent from the press release, but with EMEA and Asia Pacific distribution to handle, Namco Bandai may simply be playing it safe.
Atari published The Witcher in October 2007. The publisher was since acquired by Namco Bandai.
All Witcher 2 screenshots, videos and details released so far can be found in the gamepage below.
