Sony clarifies PS3 game dates News

Before you go and get your hopes up, the dates on the UK PlayStation site for Heavenly Sword and Lair are, in fact, wrong.
According to the listings, both PS3 games are due out in May. But Sony told us this wasn't the case when we rang up all giddy and excited to confirm.
"Both those dates are wrong," a spokesperson for Sony told Eurogamer. "We haven't got any release dates for those at the moment; they're just pencilled in for 2007."
Heavenly Sword is a third-person action game in development at Ninja Theory, which lets you take control of Nariko, a sword-swinging warrior-woman on a journey of revenge. It's a flagship title for PlayStation 3, and has sat firmly alongside the console ever since its unveiling at E3 2005.
Lair is an action title being created by Factor 5, which lets you take to the sky on the back of a fire-breathing dragon. All hell breaks loose in the sky as you battle with scaly-foes, in one of the most ambitious PS3 titles so far.

From what well placed little birdies have told me Heavenly Sword is far further on in Development than many realise.

spliffhead: That's weird, the lead programmer wrote that they just recently passed Alpha. Alpha means that there's at least 4 months left on the project. Depending on the scale of the game. You'll want 2-3 months to reach Beta and then you'll iron out the last bugs to get a Release Candidate and that takes 2-3 months as well.

That one isn't even a PS3 exclusive. Any Blu-Ray player will run it. |

:( Aw. *sigh* Too bad.
Couldn't there at least be TRAILERS of Warhawk, Lair, and Heavenly Sword (wonder what the latter looks like, these days...Hmm?) up on Playstation Store, though? I was a bit cautious of Flow. Went with Lemmings first, instead, as I've been eager to play a good version of that, for a while. :D Edit: So this thing uses autolinkage, huh, lol?!

Some major games are hitting 360 this year: Alan Wake, Bioshock, Forza Racing 2, Fable 2, Blue Dragon, Cry-On and Halo 3...All pushing the system further in graphics & gameplay, i think PS3 is falling seriously behind; with Assassin Creed, DMC 4, Resident Evil 5, GTA 4, Virtua Fighter 5 now on 360 too...360 seems more games, games, games.
