Mythic speeds up WAR levelling

Christmas XP bonus for all players.

Mythic boss Mark Jacobs has sent a Christmas message to Warhammer Online fans and revealed that the developer is going to speed up levelling in the game over the holiday period - starting now.

"We are going to be speeding up the levelling curve in WAR for a few weeks. We're going to increase the rest experience multiplier bonus in a hotfix today as well as reducing the time that it takes you to earn rested XP while logged out of the game, especially in Tiers 3 and 4," said Jacobs.

If you don't understand what that means, try this: "This will result in players' time to level being approximately 10 per cent faster in Tier 2 and 20 per cent faster in Tiers 3 and 4."

He also said some stuff about stopping the game crashing so much, so that's good. Go join the race to the endgame.

There are no quesues - mainly because atfer two expantions hit from other games WAR stopped being many player's 'something to do' game..

Double edged sword sadly, WAR's still good tho :)

WAR: Here are public quests. They are made of sunshine, rainbows and the purest and most magical of all awesomeness.
    Me: Glee! :D :D :D
WAR: Oh yeah, and all the interesting ones are located fifteen miles from a respawn point, so nobody will ever, ever, ever go and play in them, meaning that the entire game will turn into a dreary grind of the most boring, least rewarding, but crucially, nearest and therefore most accessible PQ.
    Me: But... but... :(
    WAR: Have fun!
Me: ::Twitch:: "You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
    Me: ::Weeps openly::

I played shortly after launch, and discovered that in the zones that had e.g. three PQs, EVERYONE were grinding the first one until their blue bar war full, ignoring the others.

    Powerlevelers ftw.

To make me play the game they'd have to speed it up so much that before i even clicked the games' icon i was already max level and with every item in the game in my inventory.

And then id just sell the character on ebay.

For a bazillion Euros (as pound sterling is soooo last year darling).

Meh. WAR started with a bang, but was unable to keep me interested. The basic idea is great, ie give the players control over how the world and battlefront shapes, but it was very miserably implemented.

Keep sieges get old soo quickly, and derived into PvE encounters too, as it's easier to go cap undefended fortress for easy loot rather than stay and defend endlessly. On my server population was both very low and severely imbalanced, so that didn't help either. Graphics are poor and fights chaotic and tedious.

Too bad, because there's a diamond of a game somewhere there, it's just too covered up in the poo of bad design decisions for me to bother with it. Especially with all the other great games that queued up on my desk over the last 2 months.

Sweet! Now I can go back and buy mounts for all my alts lol. I hope they also sped up the rate you gain WAR Gold. I wanna buy all the Devastator sets. >:)

The worst thing about WAR is that after launch 99% of public quests are deserted and therefore impossible.
