Warhammer is the only MMO that can somehow compete with WoW, have great ideas and the PvP RvR is a lot of fun, but after playing a little bit more of WoW i have to admit that its still the best MMO by scale, art direction, features, races, diversity, story etc... only time will tell if Warhammer can in fact become as good as Blizzard's game... in my opinion, there is stilll a very long way to go for Mythic.

Pointless starting an expansion if your shoddy theft of customers money (didnt work with me I got a charge back thankyou very much) and unfinished mechanics alienates enough players to kill the game.

A great shame, as there was a lot of potential.

I think you will find that Mythics statement of paying subscribers was heavily inflated by their policy of converting everybodies accounts to recurring subscriptions despite individuals opting for manual renewal methods or cancelling their account. And then refusing to give a refund becuase we had agreed to the 'terms and conditions'

I had high hopes for the game and even upgraded my machine in order to play it. A rushed launch and shoddy partner choice were the nails in the coffin for the Euro version.

That was actually GOA, not Mythic and from what we've heard they got a heavy slap on the wrist for it, as well as apologising themselves claiming it was an error in their system, which they corrected and will refund anyone who has irroniously been charged.

I agree it shouldn't have happened in the first place, but it was GOA.

Great pvp let down by a very unpolished product. Its great that all the crap they cut out is coming back as updates. Its also a bad sign when things are already being 'revamped'. Look what happened to Star Wars Galaxies.

Played in a fortress battle this weekend, and well, it was one of the most pointless things I have ever done. Couldnt move, couldnt see, couldnt do spells, utter waste of time. Was the same for everyone else.

Theres no way they didnt know it performed like this from testing, I dont know what they were thinking claiming that this stuff was part of the game, its alpha level performance, absolutely ridiculous. And its not just the shit GOA servers either, the yanks are having the same issues.

Everyone is beginning to lose faith in the game tbh, after such a great start, its looking like it may end up being a struggle to hang onto enough subs to keep the game playable

A good thing they don't fall into the "chucking out expansions, fix bugs later" rut og Dark Age of Camelot... have they actually learned?

Surely then - it's a good idea they're sticking to the live game refinements rather than any expansions. Also, it's easy to forget that WoW had similar teething problems. Give it time, I'd say.

I really don't see how WAR can compete with WoW at the moment, WAR has some serious technical problems and the awful animations and performance seem to be much more serious that people are aware. The game engine on lower end machines chugs even with just 10 ppl in a RVR instance seeing how the whole point if the game is much larger scale battles a machine that can handle WoW's large scale pvp is going to be brought to its knees by the WAR engine. Sure you can upgrade your machine but there are still problems reported with high end rigs which are as yet unexplained so just upgrading is a hit and miss affair. Animations are nowhere near as good as in WoW and the general feel of the combat is pretty gimped. If Mythic can't resolve alot of the fundamental issues voiced by the community I can see WAR going the same way as Tabula Rasa, Auto Assualt etc

True the game is pritty ruff atm, like t4 keep taking but when you have about 200 players doing the same thing and everyone's using the pritty settings you can forgive it a bit :)

Also agreeing about the 'if Mythic don't sort it out' bit, buuuttt unlike a certian Funcom, Mythic aren't baiting us with 'mirical patch comming soon' and taking forever to deploy any patch, both US and EU test servers are up, we'll be having two quite heavy patches within the same month, BOTH seem to be fixing a lot, MJ's focusing on THIS game not 'other projects' (ala Funcom AGAIN, witch you know FC try fixing your pc version before porting half your devs to the 360 version!!!)... Mythic are just under the Turbine level of uber patchness.. Things are looking up..

It's only GoA holding the EU back, we've had only one wave of server transfers.. we need more asap!

Yeh it is definitely great that they arent focussing on making expansions yet, and I really cant knock mythic for their effort since release, there has been several hot fixes a week and good new content delivered. But for all they have fixed it is still a very broken game, and when all I see is people losing patience, and most talk about the game is revolving around whining about it, it makes me think that they are maybe spending a lot of time and effort on fixing something that is going to end up with a couple of 10000 people servers in Europe, and maybe 4 or 5 of the US.
