    Myst Online?

One of the stranger ideas I've seen recently.

They bringing this back from the dead then ? The online version of Uru was already available at the same time as the single-player. The online experience was quickly closed down for lack of uptake by the market. Not surprising really : "solve puzzles with complete strangers knowing that some of these puzzles will be very complex and plenty of the strangers utter knobs". The reward of doing so was also not explained.

I thought it was funny to build a character that looked like a uber-skinny sandal-wearing hippie wearing neon pink shorts and shirt, named ... you guessed it : TessaTickle. The culture / personality clash was instantaneous with 1) those who objected at the dirty pun in the nick and 2) with those who'd built avatars to look like teenage hipsters (shades, tribal decals or tats, etc).

I wonder what's changed that makes Cyan want to take another shot at it.

MMORPG market is too big of a cash cow to not jump on the bandwagon again.
Also Second Life may have prepared people for a dwarf & Elfless MMO experience.
