Good stuff could come of this. Getting rid of Jacobs and giving Ray and Greg some input on both BioWare and Mythic is a good way to get more quality games out of EA. I like this grouping idea, too. As long as the companies aren't compromised, I don't mind.

I don't believe that for one second. EA may have released one or two very nice games last year but they have a very bad track record with the companies they buy. Westwood, Origin Bullfrog, etc.
It wouldn't surprise me for one second when this is taken apart in less than a couple of years so they can redistribute the IP's. |

Different CEOs tho between then and now but we can't 'poo poo' whats happened - Bioware are developing a MMO, Mythic works with 3 MMOs, Mythic's current head screws up and costs you money with just one game, Bioware's head makes a lot of money by giving you two new IPs and working on a few more.
It's not 'the evils of EA' at work here - it's a good busness sence, and kinda a go figure situation. Mythic is still a good MMO team and Bioware is just as epic as they were all those years ago, pairing them up is just logical and kinda critical if you want one of the world's biggest IPs to work in a MMO well after it's slated tack record so far. |
