MS quiet on Fable II DLC implications

Did we see the future or not?

Microsoft has declined to clarify the outcome to Fable II's See the Future downloadable content pack, which seemed to imply that we'll be returning to Albion in a few years' time...

"See the Future does give a glimpse of Albion's future, fictionally speaking, but we can't comment on what's next for the franchise," a spokesperson told Kotaku. He or she had nothing to add about future DLC either.

The reason people are asking rather spoils the outcome of See the Future, so if you're not up for that you would do best to scamper away now.

Otherwise, you probably already know that it concludes as you return to the Tattered Spire and Theresa offers a glimpse of a possible future, where the player controls a king walking among his subjects, and talks about an unborn child upon whose shoulders the fates of Albion and Aurora will depend.

Once you're dumped back to Bowerstone, you get the royal suit to waltz around in, with the accompanying message: "You have seen what lies ahead, but it will be years before you truly understand the significance of your vision."

Whatever could it mean? Someone tweet Wossy.

    The question should be did most of us really care or are we still falling for Moleneux's grande claims with near to zero actual content.

    Edit: To correct the missing capital T :)

    Fable isn't on your gamercard so I guess you haven't played it yet - shame.

    "zero actual content."
    Isnt ther a loading screen in Fable2 which covers this?
    No actual content would mean there would be nothing at all, etc...

    I said near to zero. Frak does anyone actually read anymore.

    As for fable 2 not being on my gamer card..er yes it is mate it's just waaaaaayyyyy down the list.

    I was expecting a bit more with the 'See the future' claim but its always good to have any reason to go back to Albion.

    @Cyacomini

    Are you actually thick or something?

    You can only tell what games a person has by comparing your gamer scores with those of the other person on the microsoft site. This is eurogamer, it only shows recently played and I can't say fable 2 has been recently played by me (go figure given I think it's a waste of time).

    Try going onto xbox live and shock fuckin' horror! Doing a game compare with me "Penhalion Wolfe"

    Then come back and apologise for your nonsense!

    If there's one thing I hate it's muppets calling me a lair!

    Ahhhh seriously does anyone actually read another persons comments before replyin to them?

    All my original comment was is

    "The question should be did most of us really care or are we still falling for Moleneux's grande claims with near to zero actual content"

    I refer to the article about Microsoft being quiet about what the ney future content was suppose to mean and the fact that Moleneux always promises great stuff but fails to deliver 90% of what he claims or else delivers a super cut down version that is hardly recognisable from his original claims.

    I don't troll as I don't actually start or take part in arguments on these forums. I make a comment, if someone disagrees, then fair enough, you'll notice from my past posting history that I don't wade back in and start a flame war or any nonsense like that. I state my opinion and if you hate it fair do's to you. I rarely waste another post replying to the people who don't like my comments. If someone isn't mature enough to value anothers opinion, then I think life will take care of them in it's own sweet time. No need for me to intervene. Karma's a bitch as they say!

    Your opinion. Clearly most don't share it.

    er, help.

    anyone know how to activate the snowglobe? Can't figure out what the hell to do.
  • ccfb #12 3 years ago

    Complaints about the game aside, why even ask in the first place? Stop trying to spoil the "secrets" for yourselves and others. It's like finishing one series of a tv show then immediately looking up what happens in the next series.
  • doragor #13 3 years ago

    @ ccfb

    um, you talking to me?
  • penhalion #14 3 years ago

    @Doragor

    I think ccfb is referring to me.

    As for the snow globe. you just use it according to my colleague sitting next to me.

    Edit: Man I'm having a bad spelling day today!

    @ penhalion

    ok thanks. I can't even find it in my inventory. Might do it sober tonight.
  • cyacomini #16 3 years ago

    @ penhalion "Are you actually thick or something?"

    No - I'm very happy to say.

    "Then come back and apologise for your nonsense"

    You are joking right?

    "If there's one thing I hate it's muppets calling me a lair"

    Liar ;)

  • penhalion #17 3 years ago

    @cyacomini

    I humbly apologise for calling you thick as that was un-called-for.

    Yes I have played Fable 2 and I simply didn't enjoy it much. It was fun for the first hour but, the conversation system (or lack of it as you simply spam gectures) really annoyed me. Especially as Moleneux promised this lavish interaction extravaganza.

    I was also annoyed by you using the half complete Eurogamer profile thing (no Idea why it misses out games you've played) as some list of all the 360 stuff I've played. It's hugely inaccurate and yet some people on these forums will go to war over it.

    I guess I hate Moleneaux far more than I hate Fable 2. The man simply get's my goat. Even talking to him face to face you are left wondering if he really did create any of the games he's given credit for or if his teams did and he simply stole their thunder because he's the boss as it were.
