Mr Driller coming to XBLA this week News

Xbox 360 News by Ellie Gibson

31 March, 2008

Classic Namco Bandai series Mr Driller is coming to Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday.

Mr Driller Online will feature single player modes including Standard Driller and Quest Driller. Up to four players can compete online - either in a split-screen Solo Battle, where the highest score wins, or as pairs trying to beat the game in Tag Battle.

For those who aren't familiar, Mr Driller casts you as a tiny man in a big pink space hat who wields a powerful drill. Your task is to destroy blocks without being crushed by others falling on you, and to make sure you don't run out of air along the way.

The most recent Mr Driller game, which appeared on DS, was thoroughly enjoyable. Let's hope the addition of online multiplayer makes the new one even more fun.

Mr Driller Online will be available from 9am on Wednesday April 2nd, priced at 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60).

Come on headbog, you're late!, come and say:

"oh but the rings"
"you have to pay"
"it's white..., no wait... it might be also black!"
"and last Xmas, do you remember last Xmas? take that!"
"and in Japan, huh?! In japan!"
"oh Home... so beautifull, it's shaping up (I've never saw it, but I just know!)"
"and the rings! Have I mentioned the rings?"

I thought all older games were to be 400 points, or is it the REALLY old games that are 400 points now?

Doesn't this have online? I'm not sure it is just the same game as in DS.

Oh but will it be good as Mr Driller Drill Land on the GameCube? Because that game was bloody fantastic.

(Not to mention the fact that it also had a sountrack of almost Katamari levels of brilliance.)
