MotorStorm 2 to feature monster trucks News

The sequel to hit PS3 racer MotorStorm will feature monster trucks, according to the latest edition of Official PlayStation Magazine.

Scans of the relevant article appearing on the Internet claim a new trailer is about to be released. We're told to "keep an eye out for the way unseated drives try to dodge cartwheeling vehicles", observe "how a truck plows through a wooden structure" and take note of "the addition of water hazards".

Apparently more players will be able to compete in online races and yep, you'll have the option to drive monster trucks.

As previously reported, the MotorStorm sequel is set on a tropical island and is said to be looking lush. An official title has yet to be announced, and there's no word on a release date - but expect more news very soon.

I liked the first game a lot but it lacked game modes, 2-player split-screen and featured the most annoying car selection screen ever.

If they just fix these points and add new (and more) tracks, I'll buy it :)

As long as they put at least 15 tracks in it and fix the vehicle select screen I think most people will be happy.

Who cares if Monster Trucks are included. Every vehicle pretty much handles the same in Motorstorm.:p Since I love all things Motorstorm bring it on as I loved the first game and still play it.

I hope each car has different speed, handling characteristics this time. If there were difference in M1, then it was very vague.

Improved, loading, split screen and local LAN racing = my purchase

I luuuuurrrrrrvvvve that game! It's so Sega-arcade-style, isn't it?!

I hope they make it also - it was a great game and I still enjoy it to this day.

I think motorstorm is probably developing the technology for the WRC games if they get round to it, the tech in motorstorm would be very useful in a rally game.

Shox is amazing, very very underrated. What I love about it isthe achievement factor: you must win a race by getting first place but also by getting three gold checkpoints in a row which resulted in this shockwavebubble around you boosting your score immensely *love*. Highly addictive. Looked fantastic too.

For all those concerned about old skool split screen, its apparently to have 4 player split. So all those wanting two can be doubly joyful.
