All singing! All Dancing! All dickwaving this and next years disappointments!

The fanboy rage is always worth it though. Remember the FF13 on 360 announcement? Gooooooood times.

Indeed Mickey, and add in to that Nintendo's inevitable response. Would be somewhat amusing though if Nintendo suddenly unveils something awesome for core gamers just as their competitors are chasing the casuals.

It only feels like yesterday that I was laughing at the terrible Nintendo 2009 conference.

Hopefully this year they won't be quite as shit.

Still, E3! \o/ Long may corporate execs look like idiots on stage!

Totally agree about HL2: Episode 3. It's slipping into Duke Nukem Forever territory at the moment. I expect they've decided to can it and release HL3 on a new Source engine.

    I miss E3 2006. MASSIVE DAMAGE

Nothing will ever beat Konami's 2008 confrence for utter badness. Try watch it on youtube, its brutal.

Rumour has it that when EG's brave correspondents came back, they needed to be treated for PTSD

Polyphony will turn up in July.
  • Murton #12 2 years ago

Polyphony will turn up in July.

And Remedy in August. Remember that Alan Wake was announced a full year before GT5. Better luck next time though.

I think the show is going to be stolen by Natal and The Wand, both in terms of MS vs Sony penile comparisons and also the third party climbing over each other to show off what they're planning for each. Oh, and 3D.

LAWL! That's in the middle of the world cup! Games are relegated to tv status at this stage.

Can't believe this is around the corner already. However, I do expect some news about things that won't be released until after E3 2011. Arc/Natal anyone?
  • Murton #24 2 years ago

@ M_of_the_sys: that's always been the case for E3. Publishers and developers alike are announcing upcoming games far too early, Alan Wake at E3 2005 and will finally be released May of this year and GT5 announced at E3 2006 and will be released in Autumn sometime, hopefully. It's little wonder that we get "jokes" like the one MiniAmin posted when games are being announced five years before they are actually released and showcased every single year in between, or LA Noir announced in 2006 and then left unmentioned until a couple of weeks ago, it really is quite stupid when you think about it.

Personally I'm hoping for an E3 that's quite relevant where the upcoming games announcements are for games that are actually coming up.
