Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, but Guybrush looks awful!

    /misses the old Amiga days

I reckon the style will grow on me by the end of the series but, yes, at the moment it does grate somewhat... :o/

I'm a great fan of the series, have played both Monkey Island's back in Amiga days, yet the art style of this new remake doesn't appeal to me at all. I would even go as far and call it ugly.

I agree that the art style is off and Guybrush definitely doesn't look like i remembered him from back in the day.

I'll add a voice to the pile. I didn't even realise that WAS supposed to be Guybrush Threepwood! The voodoo lady is supposed to look sexy isn't she?

I suddenly don't have very high hopes for this game, given that the original series played very heavily on the fact that Guybrush looked like a kid pretending to be a pirate, with baggy clothes and a knack for insult sword fighting! Even Le Chuck looks more like a baloon than the most feared undead pirate of the seas.

Where are the original developers when you need them? Surely one of them should have piped up and said "Oi you! NOO!"

Geesas.. it's an art style choice.. not the end of the world!

He looks like a cheap plastic model of a goat on two legs. Goatbrush Cheapwood.
