The spring-bound Alternative Edition of Resident Evil 5 adds more than just PS3 wand support and a Lost in Nightmares scenario.
The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu (read by Joystiq) tells us there will be another story chapter and two accompanying costume packs. Plus, you'll be able to tackle Resident Evil 5 again but as previously unplayable characters.
Famitsu claims the story chapters cost 400 Microsoft Points each (£3.40/€4.80), whereas the costume packs cost 160 MSP (£1.36/€1.86) each.

Can someone please clarify: This Alternative Edition of Resident Evil will pretty much contain everything released for the game as DLC & including the game itself right ??? and it all comes in a Disc version ? and for both 360 and PS3 ?

I wont be buying another resident evil until they bother to fix the game destroying bug that corrupts gamessaves on some Xbox 360's , the fact they have barely acknowledged the problem and are certainly never going to fix it is an absolute joke.

How about a download to remove the AI partner all together or introduce the RE0 partner system to the solo game?

I don't think the disc is even getting a release in the West.
We'll be able to get all the additioanal content via DLC, but if we want to play with the PS3 'Wand' thingy, then I guess well have to import the game |

This game was just so average.....at the best of times, especially considering how amazing Resi 4 was.

Why do Capcom think that anyone ever gives a shit about being able to do this with RE games? Now you can do it all over again but with a slighty different coloured/shaped/gendered character!!! Oooh the excitement!!! |
