More Ratchet & Clank on the way News

PlayStation 3 News by Ellie Gibson

18 August, 2008

A message appearing at the end of the latest Ratchet & Clank game indicates it won't be the last instalment in the series.

Downloadable title Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty will be released via PSN on August 21st. According to IGN, on completing the game you see the message, "The adventure continues Fall 2009."

So does this mean another PSN game or a full-length disc-based effort? Sony isn't saying, and the "Fall" date could be for the US only. Still. More Ratchet!

I hope they play with the formula a little. It seems Insomniac are kind of churning them out at the moment - not that they're not good games, just a bit samey.

I want a new kart racing game for the PS3. I reckon a Jak/Ratchet crossover (or more specifically, Daxter & Clank) would lend itself superbly.

Full length from what they said. The only reason there wasn't another ratchet game sooner was because they were full throttle on Resistance 2.
