So was it agreed this is an open beta - or is there some perquisite required?

We're not entirely sure yet. Since there is some kind of registration required for the Japanese and American betas.

This confirms what I've been reading bits about as of late, that betas' are for marketing purposes only. Although it's not a bad thing *I gotz into the cod4 beta w00t!*

Nope, the Euro Beta is free to enter.

Thank god Konami sees Europe for what it really is.
The biggest market of the three.

Europe is OPEN beta - you simply download the MGO beta off the PSN as if it were a demo, and play it. No registration or prerequisite needed.

So if the starter pack is included with MGS4 does that mean you'll have to have the MGS4 disc in the PS3 to play MGOL?

@Moz

I think it's a seperate disk =P

My theorie is...

that the starter pack only have the basic stuff, but you can update it by downloading stuff from the PSN network. The full game however will have all that extra from the PSN network.

So people who regulary buy stuff on PSn will have the content first.

However this is my thoughts... plus I've heard rumours.

in that case hopefully the start pack will also be available for download, as likely to get MGS4 from Lovefilm as a little broke at the mo!
