Expect something next month.

RedOctane has hinted that Guitar Hero II fans can expect to see more Xbox Live Marketplace content next month.

Speaking on the game's official website, forum administrator "rodth" advised posters to "look for something to come down the pipeline around the July timeframe".

Unfortunately that's all RedOctane can say at the time of writing.

Guitar Hero II on Xbox 360 has already been supported by a bit of downloadable content, with three "Track Packs" available featuring songs ported across from the original PS2 Guitar Hero.

RedOctane owner Activision has previously declined to comment on reports that the next three song packs will also feature GH1 tracks.

The publisher is currently gearing up for an old-fashioned battle of the bands later this year when new Guitar Hero developer Neversoft goes up against their newly EA- and MTV-aligned predecessor Harmonix, whose Rock Band title aims to build on the foundations laid by Guitar Hero - and expand their particular brand of rhythm-action to encompass vocals and drums in addition to lead and bass guitars.

About time, really. I thought this was going to have 'more downloadable content than any other game'?

Not that I'll buy it if it's the same price as the last lot.

The reason No one Knows is hard as nails is because the main riff sounds simple but is actually pretty complicated. Its one of 'those' songs that you think is awesome, but its awesome factor is raised 10 fold when you try to play it on a real guitar.

prefer a nice link to a QOTSA Vid

and yes once Nick Oliveri got kicked out for abusing his wife in front of Josh QOTSA lost their defined sound, altho i think Songs for the Deaf is an amazing album and think could easily of been done without Nick. Dave Grohl on drums n backing vocals, jsut put the icing on the cake....

Make it cheaper or I'll be skipping it and GH3 in favour of Rock Band.

Actually I'll probably be skipping GH3 anyway. Rock Band has that sexy new guitar and looks to be a better game anyhow.

i bought Era Vulgaris last week

Its actually so much better than Lullabies to Paralyze very robotic, electro rock
Give it a bash... tho no Songs for the deaf.. one of my all time greatest albums

I liked LtP, it's far better than the stuff a lot of band churn out. SFTD was better of course, but I still like listening to LtP occasionally.

i found the PS2 versions to be better than this, the guitar just doesnt feel right when playing on the xbx...dunno why, shouldve been exactly the same me thinks but it aint.

@ToAks: I had the same problems the first time I've tried it on my 360 too. But to me was not a matter of the 360 being less responsive, it's just like you HAVE to calibrate correctly your delay if you're going to play this one on your LCD TV. It took me some time, but right now its even more responsive than the PS2 version (which, btw, was a b**h when played on progressive scan on a LCD screen), and I have managed to perfectly do some parts of some solos that I wasn't able to do so well on the PS2. Dunno if this is the same problem you had with it though.
