More Forza 2 cars this Wednesday News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

17 March, 2008

Turn 10 will add a baker's dozen of fresh cars to Forza Motorsport 2 this Wednesday.

The 13 fresh vehicles will cost you 400 Points (GBP 3.40 / EUR 4.80), and range from a Lamborghini and Ferrari down to a Peugeot and Mitsubishi.

To celebrate, the developer will be taking on the community this Easter weekend. You can also win yourself a Racing Wheel or an autographed copy of the game in a tournament from 21st - 23rd March.

Pop over to the official Forza Motorsport 2 website to find out specific dates and times.

Forza Motorsport 2 is the Xbox 360 answer to Gran Turismo (oh look, a review of GT5 Prologue), and lets you tinker with things like hydraulics and exhaust pipes and pressure levels and I might be making it up but it is definitely complicated.

Good fun, too, as our Forza Motorsport 2 review will tell you.

ah Turning 10 trying to spoil GT5 Prologue party next week by adding Lamborghini and Ferrari to their mix?!

I for one looking forward to playing both side by side and get the feel of each, as they will be an excellent racing simulation in their own right, only of course there must be one winner...!!

I wonder if we will ever see lambos and porkers (not just RUF's) in GT?

Yeh, not bad, but I bet it can't eat a Rowntree's Fruit Pastel without chewing it.

How come there is not one single Alfa Romeo in this game?

I drive one in real-life and would've loved to be able to get one in Forza. :(

Car packs I'm not too interested in TBH, but track packs on the other hand ... much easier to sell them to my little group of Forza racing friends so we all have the same content. I do hope there'll be some more tracks. The last pair were excellent VfM I thought.

Call me an ungrateful whiny old grumpy arse, but it just isn't good enough. They still haven't added the cars in there that should've been in there in the boxed copy in the first place.

No Aston V8 Vantage. No DBR9 (this one in particular is stupid). It's not stupid to expect a higer spec of the Fiat 500 either, going by it's current high status and the game's need for more of the lower tier cars. Fair enough, the Nissan GT-R can't have been expected to have been in there from the start, but should have been expected to have been added in at least this DLC or the last one.

Disappointed. Still.

Another 430. Another F50 (the one I'm sick to death of from PGR no less). Another F40. Another MC12. Another Murcielago. Another M3. Another Evo. Another 207 (although the rally one this time is ok I guess, although this isn't a rally game....). Another TT. Another 997 911.

Nice one Turn10, nice to see you adding some new cars in this time for a bit of extra variety....

Would have been nice to see the new GTR in this like others have said. It would also amuse me a little since the Gran Turismo devs Polyphony Digital had a role in the development of the car.
