Rock Band Unplugged demo?! Somehow I need to get hold of that while pretending to do some work. Tricky.

What happened to Trash Panic - I was quite looking forward to that.

@dominalien:

How did you swing that, by the way? Do you have a credit card they accept, or do you have a source on PSN cards?

Also, still waiting for Wild Arms.

@widge & toothball: I don't know about dominalien but I use entropay to provide me a virtual credit card which PSN accepts. I stock it with funds from my UK account, they charge a little on top and I then have funds to use on the US PSN.
The stuff all works, but be careful with DLC as you will need a US copy of the game for the DLC to work. No probs with the rest tho. I got SSFIIHDR from there as well as the MvC2 demo a week early without any problems on my UK PS3

...Also pretty sure it's free, at least I downloaded it for free yesterday...it's the only reason I downloaded it actually.

@GundamJehutyKai:

Sounds promising, but are there any issues with billing addresses? Making up a US address to download free stuff is one thing, but using one when paying for stuff seems a bit closer to fraud.

Why? One could argue that the latter actually hurts the other party less... In both cases you fake an address and are therefore breaking the user agreement. They're as bad legally.

@toothball: The virtual card itself is just a way for the US payment system to recognise the details. You can use a fake address in the same way you use one to create a US account. In terms of funding, you must put in your own money (which is then converted to USD) into your virtual card before it can then be transferred to the PSN account.
No money, no transaction. This isn't credit, if it was then this would be fraud.

Think of it as a sort of deputy service like one you can use to bid on auctions in foreign countries, just without the shipping. That's as close a description I can think of.

@toothball, widge

I just have a regular card. Actually, it's not a real card, it's a "virtual" card my bank offers for shopping on the Internet. Anyway, when I created the US account, I had to input an address, so I made one up. Then, tempted by some stuff on the US store, I thought, oh what the h..., let's see if it works. And it did.

Wild Arms is so good I wish I hadn't played it yet and still had the experience ahead of me. Also got it from the US store. The PSP is simply excellent for these games.
