ModNation, Tiger Woods demos on PSN

Dragon Age, Split/Second DLC for grabs.

Today on the PlayStation Store you'll find a ModNation Racers demo for both PS3 and PSP.

This is Sony's new "Play, Create, Share" game in which everything is customisable and cute. We liked it.

There's another demo for PS3 in the shape of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.

Premium DLC this week includes Darkspawn Chronicles for Dragon Age, and either full-car, master or track-and-mode unlocks for Split/Second: Velocity.

PSP game Obscure: The Aftermath has been halved in price to £12, but everything else can be safely glossed over.

Im pretty sure LBP was cheaper off the bat as well, Sony are clearly making a stand on pricing with there 1st party games, also its going to be out today so a day before the shops as well

It's a new IP, I suppose they want to release it at an acceptable price to boost interest and sales. With PSP game sales being a bit rubbish recently, a wise choice me thinks.

With a game like that, pays dividends to chop the price to boost sales. There's going to be oodles of DLC for people who are bothered.

Awesome. ModNation PS3 demo to download tonight then. I like these mid-week updates a lot.
  • Mkwone #7 2 years ago

Why does modnation have to be released the same day as Red Dead.

EDIT: Wait is the game available for download today? i tohught it was Friday it was released?

That Split/Second DLC is retarded! They are basically offering you a way to avoid playing the game as intended. For nearly £9 extra, you can avoid having to play through the single player mode to unlock everything, this is absolutely stupid I think and definitely not the road DLC should be taking!

Oh, Hey Bertie. Nice to see you in the comments...
Any news on the God of War Goddies? I and a few others have not received anything yet... :-(
I think you were going to light a fire under Mr Bramwell.
    Here you go...

It isn't listed on here but there is also:

"ModNation Racers – Online Entitlement (Download only if the in-pack Online Entitlement Voucher is missing, or is no longer valid from your retail copy) (£7.99/€9.99) Rating: PEGI 7"

IE if you by ModNation PSP second hand or pirate it you will need to buy this to play online, EA says hi

    @MKwone
The PSP and PS3 Demos are out today
PSP Full Game is out today
PS3 Is out on Friday for the UK only, but today for the most of the EU

If Tiger Woods 11 isn't like on South Park I shall be dissappointed :D

The Split Second DLC is bizarre. In my day we had cheat codes for that kinda thing , now we have £4
  • irrelevanthuman #13 2 years ago

Really grateful for the opportunity to give Modnation a spin, very curious about that one.

Silly question but is PSP version of Modnation Racers worthy of attention? Why cant Sony consider a universal price for both in case gamers like to get the portable version too?

As it is I ll only go for PS3.
  • darleysam #17 2 years ago

This isn't some fanboy "OMG BIAS!" claim, but as far as I can think I never see an Xbox Live roundup to go alongside this. If I'm not just profoundly blind, it would be nice to have something for it just to keep us Live users in touch with everything going up.

  • Bloobat #18 2 years ago

@darleysam, I never noticed that, though i don't own a 360, yeah you should have this sort of thing too!

anyway AWSOME MNR demo! plus stuff you make in the demo can be ported to the full game!
  • cherryuk #19 2 years ago

Just awful - you know these games aren't selling well when they have to cut prices, they must be crap! ;-)
  • BBIAJ #20 2 years ago

Whenever I see an unlock key on the XBLMP, I rate it 1 star.

Going off the fact this DLC currently has over 60 ratings each, and has scored just 1.5 stars, I think many others are taking the same stance.

It's one way of showing the publishers that we really don't approve of this kind of thing I suppose.

    Err, Critter Crunch? Under £3?!
  • KreyAtiv #22 2 years ago

I tried out the ModNation demo and it seemed decent enough. Shame you can't use the car you modded in the demo itself but a message did appear saying they'll be working on a way to allow you to import it into the full game.
  • Mchief22 #23 2 years ago

Their is actually a project $10 style system in place for mod nation on psp, only it is £7.99. If you buy the game second hand on UMD you have to pay that extra cost
  • kosigan #24 2 years ago

"PSP Games - ModNation Racers (£16.99/€26.99)"

I think someone got the exchange rate wrong with that one. Looking at the other £/€ prices, it should probably be more like £21.99. Grab it while you can, if you're interested, I'd say.
  • KayJay #25 2 years ago

    He is right you know...
    Oanda Currency Converter
    Euro - 26.99 it equal to Pounds - 23.08
    It looks like a error.
  • Rpt81 #26 2 years ago

Is there not a chance that the reason why it's cheaper to download MNR than it is to buy it in stores is that it won't include the online and they want you to buy the voucher to go with it?
  • HiddenAway #27 2 years ago

The PSN version has the online component built in.
