Modern Metal pack for Guitar Hero III News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Tom Bramwell

7 March, 2008

Activision has released a "Modern Metal Track Pack" for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock on Xbox Live worldwide and on the US PlayStation Network.

European PSN users will presumably have to wait another week or so, reflecting the delay witnessed with the No Doubt Track Pack, which emerged here yesterday.

The Modern Metal Track Pack consists of "Almost Easy" by Avenged Sevenfold, "The Arsonist" by Thrice, and "Hole in the Earth" by Deftones.

On Xbox Live Marketplace, it costs 500 Microsoft Points (GBP 4.25 / EUR 6.00), while US PSN users pay USD 6.25 (GBP 3.10 / EUR 4.00). Three-song Track Packs typically cost GBP 3.99 on PAL PSN.

Activision also said that we can look forward to a special free track pack to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in mid-March.

The Dropkick Murphys Track Pack will include "Famous for Nothing", "(F)lannigan's Ball" and "Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya", and will be released on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. Thrash responsibly.

Hahahah, can't wait to hear the metalheads whine over which songs should've been included instead of bloody Deftones.

Christ, more pointless DLC.

I'd have the Avenged Sevenfold one, but I'm not buying a three track pack to get it.

No sale, Activision. Fucking give me Rock Band!

Is there anywhere that lists the complete tracklist for this game - all the tracks that are available to download?
Are they still always released as three packs still?

Really if it's Modern metal, it should be Machine Head at least.

Still, I like Deftones. A lot. Maybe not in GH though, doesn't seem like a great fit. Same for Avenged, there are loads better songs than this pap. Actually that's been true of all the DLC so far. Good choice of bands, bad choice of songs.
