Mixed Messages on Euro DSi Shop

Chinese Whispers for up to 21 players.

Two weeks after the first infusion, Nintendo has updated the DSi Shop with a new DSiWare game, Activision's Mixed Messages.

Available for 500 DSi Points (GBP 4.50), it's a multiplayer game for between two and 21 players, who takes turns drawing and writing on the screen and then passing the DS to the next player.

The idea is that the first player writes a short sentence, and the second player draws a picture that's supposed to represent it.

The third player, armed only with the second player's picture, then tries to work out what the original sentence was and write it down, before the fourth player uses the third's sentence to draw a picture. And on and on it goes.

The game's been developed by Vicarious Visions, and is the first third-party game on the DSi Shop. "What started out as a little tinkering and game design idea quickly turned into a huge time sink, as people started playing it all the time," VV's CEO Karthik Bala told IGN recently.
