2K Games' PB Winterbottom dated
Stylish XBLA platform puzzler next week.
Next week's Xbox Live Arcade offering will be The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom by 2K Games.
This promising and macabre puzzle/platform game is based around time manipulation and film-inspired levels. Visuals are stylish and there appears to be a decent amount of content on offer. But the price - 1200 Microsoft Points - is high. The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom website offers a closer look.
Cheapened Xbox Live Arcade games this week are Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (800 MSP), Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao (800 MSP) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled (400 MSP), which is a game about tortoises.
Next week Battlefield 1943 goes down to 800 MSP.
Beautiful Katamari arrives next week on Xbox Live Games on Demand. Check our Beautiful Katamari review to find out more.
Upcoming Xbox Live DLC we know about: The Nurburgring for Forza Motorsport 3 today, Ferraris for Need for Speed: Shift next Tuesday and the Lost in Nightmares DLC for Resident Evil 5 next Wednesday.

"Maybe it's fitting that a game about pies leaves you hungry. Even if it ultimately ends up with your stomach growling, Winterbottom's very best bites are still worth every penny. [Mar 2010, p.80]

I will try out the demo for sure. To many games at the moment to buy this.

And I bet Beautiful Katamari will be pointlessly overpriced just like every other On Demand offering.

I remember seeing Winterbottom ages ago and thinking it looked quite good/unique.
I don't normally do XBLA games these days but I might pick this up.
