'3d games do not fucking work on the iphone.'

Doom begs to differ. And Boost. And Dungeon Hunter. And Real Racing.

But it's very easy to do them shit. The old trick where a portable version of a known console franchise is released that bears little resemblence to the title it is claiming to be.

I get confused when the comments are in reverse order. I read the replies before the quoted comment, thus creating a time paradox and poofing out of

    >3d games do not fucking work on the iphone.

    it's not a 3d game dumb ass.. it's a 2d game, which is rendered in 3d. Plays in 2D.

personally from the screenshots alone, i think this looks all right for a phone game

    >That doesn't look very good.

    And what's your reasoning?

I don't know why people post a few words like "this looks shit", "or this looks great" without backing up their reasoning with WORDS. This seems to make the whole post pointless?

I kind of expected it to be a port of mirrors edge 2d. Looks OK though, ME is all about movement though so all bets are off until we can actually see it in motion.

I'm in agreement that this doesn't look very good. It looks like it lacks a lot of imagination on the developers part and they've just went for the easy option with a 2D platformer dressed in the usual fake 3D to try to make things look better.

I play a lot of games on the Iphone and based on a few of the top notch FPS and other 3D games already out they should be able to recreate a proper 3D version of this game. Graphically there is nothing to heavy that couldn't be replicated in a reduced form on the Iphone and moving around in 3D has already been proven effective in current Iphone FPS games.

    This looks just lazy!!

No. You're wrong. First Person games PLAY like ASS on the iphone. 2D gameplay right decision for platform.

One day some of you will realise that gameplay more important than graphics.

This should have been done like Canabalt.

ON the other hand, you could just get canabalt.
