It's a first person adventure with no barriers! Apparently.

i can see barriers. those buildings have walls. can't walk through them now can you!

in other words, "oh no another fps game with a slightly different premise to the ones before" would be more fitting to my attitude.

Its the first FPS to properly integrate the player's body into the gameplay. I'm terribly excited about it.

Looks very good. Even though it's obviously touched up.

Looks great. Now if they actually manage to pull off the first person platforming concept properly it really might turn out to be a revolutionary game in the end.

But are these pics really new? They look exactly the same as the images in last October's EDGE mag..

Still, looking pretty sweet.

Nope, Breakdown was. But I'm bloody glad that another FPS has finally taken on it's mantle.

I'm really excited about this, too. The first screenshot in particular looks fantastic; I love the whitewashed world with the spots of bright colour indicating what could be "interacted" with.

Like Hydrophobia, this has an interesting angle and could either turn out to be revolutionary or a big pile of shit. Hopefully the former!

The ingame shots within the Edge article were all taken from prototype rooms with generic place holder textures that looked like graph paper. These shots are definitely new. Detailed shots and info on this game are overdue.

I think you'll find that Trespasser was. And that was GREAT.

Love the simple colour scheme and graphical style! Ideal for a game like this I think!

I think there's one of two things going on here - either these shots are really really enhanced (possible), or DICE have dumped their much-touted Bad Company Frostbite engine in favour of another (from the look of this, likely CryEngine 2).

Methinks a bit of both. That said, it might say so in the preview, so perhaps I should read that.

I cede the first point, but not the second, that game was crap.

Breakdown was the first *good* game to do it.

It's using the Unreal 3 engine with rewritten lighting code; apparently as the Frostbite engine wasn't in a complete enough state when they started production. It's a hell of a change (and improvement) over your usual U3 game, though.
