Microsoft tackling Marketplace issues

Update: Now resolved, says Major Nelson.

Update: Xbox Live's Major Nelson now says it's all fixed. "The issues around accessing Xbox Live Marketplace content are now resolved," he just posted.

Original story: Xbox Live Marketplace is having some problems in light of Tuesday's maintenance.

"Users may experience difficulties when attempting to use Marketplace and/or making purchases," according to the Xbox status page (just in case you didn't believe the first paragraph).

"We are aware of the problem and working to resolve the technical issues. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience."

Major Nelson added: "I want to let you know that the Live engineers are actively engaged and working on getting this resolved as soon as possible."

He also said that problems are confined to Marketplace, so the majority of the shouting teenagers questioning your sexuality should be unaffected.
