Aye, some of them have these strange bumps on the front of their bodies and they don't smell of coffee and sweat.

They're probably just the avatars of morbidly obese naken men, as usual.

Don't know why people bother going to these events. Surely it's a lot easier just to get it the day before from play.com or gameplay.co.uk. You come home from work, it's there on the doormat...£5 cheaper.

Wow. Game launches really do bring the dregs of society out.
BTW: I'm talking about all consoles, except for Wii Fit which just brought the closet, guilty cake munchers out. :¬)

/Pretends not to be a gamer in polite circles in case they think I'll commit some sort of social faux pas...

I think all the people who have commented here are extremely childish.
Its a computer game....the people who bought it enjoy games just like you, regardless of whether it is on the PS3 or 360.

As for the comments on the looks of the crowd seen in the photo's.......I cud of sworn the same 'looking' ppl were at the GTA and Halo midnight launches in my town.

If MGS4 was coming to the 360 as well, i bet no one would be taking the piss out of it.

£40 was the typical price I saw for this online. I just bought it in Blockbuster for £35.

i received my copy from game, but it wasnt shrink wrapped, because of my OCD this annoyed me.

Yeah if it's not wrapped it annoys me too. But it doesn't matter as all the Konami warehousemen
have had their greasy hands all over it!

ps. I paid £49.99 for mine. Beat that everyone...i couldn't wait.

@FeralUK: I got mine for free :-)

Went to a launch party with my flatmate (and my poor girlfriend). They asked "What is Raiden's real name?" with the prize being a free copy of the game... well, we won :-)

Was brilliant. The launch was also held in a cinema, and I played MGS4 for a bit on the cinema screen which was nuts.

Beat that :-P
