End of May, says Konami.

Konami has confirmed to Eurogamer that the new date for Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops will be 25th May.

It was due to be released last Friday but was sent back by retailers as it was missing the required BBFC rating.

We're still clueless as to why this was overlooked, so we invented our own reasons. The strongest and most compelling of these was that Tom took it, or had a large part to play in it.

But it's all turned out well in the end, because MGS: Portable Ops is one of the best games the PSP has. Head over to our Portable Ops review to find out why.

I walked everywhere in town today and couldn't find **** so **** it my money's going to Ratchet and Clank tomorrow so whoever the **** was responsible can lick my *** hole I'm getting MGSO on pre owned or wait till it's cheap not getting my money ****ers.

Play.com say they have posted my copy, but they said they did it on Tuesday this week. Which is 4 days after Konami pulled the game from the shelves. Odd o_o

some of our readers mentioned that, yes, mgs: portable ops is available in some markets around europe. there was someone who said that the game is available in sweden and another one mentioned that the game is out already in italy.

good thing to hear that there's now a new release date.

I've got it too... am I the only one disapointed? The controls fall into the same problems that plague so many PSP games and kind of take the gloss of the experience...

The controls are initially quite frustrating, but you get used to them pretty quickly, and once that happens it becomes a fantastic game....

The only control change I've made is to switch the lock-on button the R button instead of the L button, so it plays like SOCOM. Other than that, it actually feels slightly better and less clumsy than Substinence to me.
