MGS: Peace Walker playable at TGS

Japanese event this month.

Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.

The Kojima Productions website confirms as much, and says there will be demo kiosks for both public and press to play.

The Tokyo Game Show is open to the public on 26th and 27th September, and we're sending Ellie Gibson along with Keza MacDonald to report from event.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a co-op PSP game of "MGS5 class", according to Kojima, who is supervising, designing, producing, directing and editing the project.

MGS: Peace Walker will be released next year.

Any chance of it appearing at the Eurogamer Expo? I'll actually be at that, and would love to have a go. I really enjoy the series so far on PSP.

Does anyone know/can explain what "MGS5 class" means?

I'm assuming he means that it won't be cutdown. Portable Ops was a great game, but there were obviously aspects of it that were reduced in scale when compared to MGS 2 or 3. I'm guessing it means a return to cutscenes using the game engine (certain parts of the previously released trailers seemed to be using parts of a cutscene) and many of the other things that differentiated Portable Ops from its big brothers. On a personal note I'm hoping that the codec/radio gets more use in the new game. I felt that it was very cutdown in 4 and Portable Ops compared to MGS 1 to 3.
