wow... it's really not about the graphics is it...

awesome show by Ninty, much more fun than the others. wish I was on the show floor to actually play the damn thing...

As if thats not an actor pretending to play....

Whats the point of the dude in the photo, if he's not actully playing... he's showing us how to have fun.

Oh. Metroid doesn't appear to have changed at all since the Cube games. :-/

The screenie appears to have been nicked from the Ninty Wii site. There's a trailer - with floppy-hair-bloke and other actors 'playing' various titles from the conference. There's just this one screen one the MP3 page. I guess cutting him out of it to post it on EG would have been a bit obvious.

The actual vid of this had a guy doing some movements that pretty much matched what was happening on screen. Except when he turned away from the monitor and shot over to the side of the room - ridiculous!

But...but...surely you could just move the sticks and press the buttons???

Disappointing isn't it? I really really want to not be disappointed but I am. It just looked like MP2. And when you combine that with IGNs Matt hands-on review you feel even more deflated.

Thought the diving from behind the seat part was a little bit cringeworthy as well to be honest.

You should watch the longer version on the official Wii site. He curls up into an effing [morph] ball and starts jumping up and down.

    Oh, it's Metroid Prime. Again.

That's like saying to your girlfriend "oh, you want sex. Again." One might question your sexual orientation.

And when you combine that with IGNs Matt hands-on review you feel even more deflated.

Actually, it got me more excited than I was about MP3, especially hearing about all the little new things to do with the controller.

So it has some small niggles? NO SHIT! They're incorporating a controller so drastically different in a new game for the very first time, it would be ridicilous to think they'd get it perfect right away. Especially seeing how far it is from launch yet. Remember how they tweaked and tweaked the controls of MP Hunters until they got it right? I'm not worried in the least.

Nikanoru - yeah I take all your points as perfectly fair. It's just that given that Retro invented the Nunchuck and will have had the Wii-mote far longer than anyone else I was hoping that they would have nailed it spot on.

TBH the fact that it looks exactly like a Cube game is a bit more of a concern than the niggles. Surely the Wii can do better than that.

Hah, yeah, you just reminded me of that bit. What the fuck was that all about? Heheh.

I could see the sense in the Warioware actors movements as (according to the IGN report), the game does instruct you to get physical with the controller (*ahem*) but that bloke curled up and hopping about was just comedy gold.

Someone has to *HAS TO* make a piss-take video in the style of these wii-mote/eyetoy game vids. They're just asking for it.

"Erm, why the need to drag things down to such a childish level ? What is it with Ninty fans ?? Someone can't actually point out a valid criticism or they get the kiddie flambage treatment ?? "

says the pot calling the kettle black.... saying "Oh, it's Metroid Prime. Again. " is hardly a "valid criticism"

    EDIT: Metroid = yay!

...That guy has a glowing plant pot.

    I want one.

    And his hair rocks!

Oh, and uh, yeah, it's a new metroid game. Woot.
