Metal Slug 7 due out in September News

Ignition has told Eurogamer that Metal Slug 7 for Nintendo DS will be released across Europe this September.

Metal Slug 7, which first appeared 12 years ago, will have its 2D run-and-gun gameplay sprinkled with more missions, characters and weapons than ever before.

Players will also face new bosses and have access to new Slug vehicles and game modes. And maybe some poisonous pellets - get off our tomatoes.

We hope the Metal Slug charm is as faithfully recreated as in the the third instalment on Xbox Live.

It's ok, backgrounds are a bit rubbish, but the sprite animation, although mostly recycled from the previous games is pretty impressive.

Then you must be drunk, because nobody who can appreciate MS7 could possibly have any time for the rancid, fetid hunk of shite that is MS3.

In order, incidentally, it goes:

MS7 > MS1 > MSX > MS2 > MS5 > MS4 >MS6 > Hitler > MS3

Judging by the general mood of the posts i am sure this is a good time to say..
Metal Slug 3 was the best metal slug ever, all the others were shit!!

I didn't get on with MS3 either. The others are a bit hard to rank though because I really enjoy all of them. 2 and X maybe a bit more than the rest.
