Rubbish...the beta sign-up goes live from the 17th, yet the servers start on the 21st. There has been nothing said that Western Europe can't join in...tsk tsk.

I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that the beta would be Japan only a while back.

It's not a Japan-only beta, in the US you can get an access code by preordering MGS4. It still hasn't been confirmed by Konami whether or not it will be available in Europe.

It's supposed to be available alongside MGS4 with no charge, so I assume we should expect it within the box?
