Mega Man DS compilation unveiled

All four Zero games, out in summer.

Capcom has announced that it's releasing a compilation cart of all four Mega Man Zero games for the DS.

Mega Man Zero Collection is pencilled in for an early summer release "at a great price". The announcement was made by Capcom's North American office - we've contacted Capcom to see if it applies to Europe too.

The Zero series follows Zero, a character originally introduced through the Mega Man X games. The four games were originally released for the Game Boy Advance between 2002 and 2005 and follow the usual Mega Man formula of 2D platforming, running and gunning. "All-new modes" are promised for this DS bundle.

The headline was exciting. Then it all went wrong.

Do you realize that you had the trailer for this on EG.TV for ages but just now post the news? :)

Anyway, I will so get this. I don't own any of the Zero games (never had a GBA) but I love Mega Man.

I didn't realise that, although this news is fresh out of the US. Seems the trailer was Japanese only.

Wonder if they'll actually release this one unlike the Mega Man Classics collection for GBa (based on the old GB Mega Man games)...
not that it matters to me as I have the originals but nice to see the option available for others who missed them. Although I don't hold a lot of confidence in European availability if it gets released here. Not even sure if we got the last Starforce game and ZX Advent was quite rare apparently.

I saw ZX Advent for quite cheap in many places, got my copy imported from the US though since it was released there WAY earlier (I think advent came out in the US around the time ZX came out here?).

Heard these were crushingly hard and some of the videos I've seen seem to show some insane looking spike filled segments. Hopefully they'll keep most of the difficulty but make it a little more forgiving for those who like their DS' not being hurled at a wall in anger. No patronising 'easy mode' though.

Any word on if they're taking advantage of the resolution boost for the DS? An increased viewing window would be awesome. Borders much less so.

Yes, Capcom! I'm so buying this...assuming it's not $40. $30 I can swallow, cheaper makes it an easy buy, for me. Love me some Megaman! If they released the originals as a DS game, that's all I would ever need...a desert island type game

Instant buy. My all time fave GBA series
