Firewalker DLC out on Tuesday.

BioWare has dated the Mass Effect 2 Firewalker DLC for 23rd March - or this Tuesday, if you don't like numbers.

The developer confirmed the date on Twitter moments ago.

This content will be free to Cerberus Network members and consist of a Hammerhead heavy assault vehicle, which you can use in five new missions. This vehicle hovers above the ground at over 120kph and has a guided missile system. Look: pictures.

Cerberus Network is the ME2 platform all players require to access the DLC. This is free to first-hand buyers but second-hand purchasers will need to shell out around Ł10 to download it on PC or Xbox Live.

I am looking forward to this. And also jealously eyeing up that über-huge expansion that the Dragon Age owners will be getting. Can I hope and pray that Mass Effect 2 will get the same treatment?

If project ten dollar is going to become an important part of future games sales and also one of the norms for large slabs of downloadable content, then MS really needs to have a think about their current stance of only giving achievements for paid DLC.

Apart from that, hooray for more content.

I read somewhere that this dlc spans about an hour and half of gameplay, so it's only right that it should be free.

I do miss the Mako, never realy understood why the "hate", a space veichle is not supposed to handle like Forza's cars, imo.

@Paperghost - actually, the Cerberus stuff is counted as paid content as you can buy the CN from the Marketplace. At least, I assume so as the extra party member's quest gives you an achievement which takes the current ME2 total to 1015G.

I too miss the Mako, rest in peace (or pieces). Hello Hammerhead, I cannot wait to pilot you and maybe see you in pieces in Mass Effect 3, in the future (and free) Normandy II's Crash Site DLC.

Yea it's going to be interesting to see how you get mullered for the start of mass effect 3....oh yea hammerhead....frankly five missions seems pretty small considering that they probably take a few minutes each to complete.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm juggling so many other games at the moment that I decided to put my second ME2 play through (~6 hours in with an engineer, played soldier on my first run) on hold until this DLC pack was released.

Its already 1015G for ME2. The next DLC will add even more. This is a game that will come up to 1750G in the end like Halo 3 and Gears 2.

5 mission only... Mako had loads of roaming on countless planets. Still if its control far better and gratify our desires for rolling around the distant alien vistas (corridor?!).

ME3 just cant come quickly enough.
