Mario Kart Wii dated for Europe
Here in April. Officially.
Nintendo has revealed that Mario Kart Wii will be released in Europe on 11th April.
It will cost around GBP 40 and come bundled with the Wii Wheel, but enables the Wiimote, Wiimote and Nunchuk, Classic Controller and GameCube Controller to be used if you are indecisive or frightened of the future.
Inside will be 16 tracks you know about and 16 you don't, plus 10 battle maps to pelt your friends on.
The game will launch alongside a new Mario Kart Channel where you can compare your rankings, share ghosts, chat, race, and join games in progress as a spectator - saving yourself a racing slot for the next course.
In total, 11 of you can duke it out online, or four of you can share a sofa and do it locally.
Oh, and it has motorbikes.

It maskes sense for them to release Mario Kart first to be honest as it's a far more popular franchise in Europe.

At least Nintendo only remake games once for each new console. I'm sure you can find a way to disprove this, but for their main games mostly only one is made per console. Or one at beginning and one at the end of it's life anyway.
(Please erase Mario Party from your memory!)

surely it should be 12, or 11 others, still 12 peopla t once ought to be awesome.

Zelda on N64 and Gamecube twice but quite a long time between them, I think anyway, gamecube especially. Same with Metroid. Super Mario on DS... um 64 and New Super Mario Bros are the only ones, and 64 is a rubbish port which Nintendo should be ashamed of, whoopdedo they added 30 new courses and 3 other playable characters... they only released this so they could go "oh look we have a Mario game for this console, so please don't think the stylus is a gimmick" which was everyones attitude around the DS launch.

I also fancy a game like the Game & Watch games on the wii but with Nes games at a budget price, which includes Ice Climbers, Excite Bike and any other retro game that would be called a rip off on it's on.
Oh and any other francise you havn't used for a while, like Waverace and others. Maybe not Doshin though.

I know what you mean about remakes and you have a point but as far as I'm concerned Ninty, or any other developer, can remake all the games the want - as long as they do actually put some effort in and improve on the original. Besides MK with a steering wheel sounds COOL!!
There are SO MANY games out there that personally I would love to see remade with next gen treatment. Sod originality all I care about is good gameplay and if that means revisiting old games so be it!

Is there any indication that Nintendo are working on Pilotwi(i)ings? It does seem like a perftect fit for much controller fun.

I suppose NoE will make up by delaying Brawl till December or something stupid.
