Mario Kart Wii date just a rumour
Nothing confirmed, says Nintendo.
Nintendo has kicked a red shell up the jacksie of rumours Mario Kart Wii has been given an official release date.
As reported by Kotaku, Japanese sources claimed the launch date was set for 10th April over there. It would supposedly retail at JPY 5800 (GBP 27) for a bundle including the Wii Wheel.
But that's nonsense, according to Nintendo. A spokesperson told Eurogamer it's just "Rumour, I'm afraid," adding that "Nothing has been announced."
Well, some things have been announced. Like the fact Mario Kart Wii will feature motorbikes, an online Battle mode and online races for up to 12 players. You can see the original announcement and the game in action via the gamepage.

Yeah, maybe if it didn't include the wheel. £50 by the time it gets to Europe.

I said the online battle mode had been confirmed...
Anyway, telling us the release price over there is pointless, how much are the games normally over there? Because that'll be a MUCH better indication of how much it'll be here, stupid British economy doing well.
