No wonder, it's still in the bloody charts. Still, I was hoping they'd at least leave it until the next Olympics.

Makes perfect sense. Especially considering how many of its events would also be suited to the balance board.

It hardly suprising given how many bloody copies they sold of the first one.

The previous one came out over 6 months before the start of bejing, so this will probably be about the same distance before vancouver, so about September.

Didn't really like the first one, so I can skip the next. Though, I actually only have the DS version (but that means I can at least skip the DS version of the new one).

Oh well, it's still going to sell a trunkload of units anyway.

I definitely think in multiplayer that it was a great party game.

"They've got the name of the game down as Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics."

No, they haven't. The translation of the magazine is “Games, Olympics, Cold, It’s Winter!” and was translated by a small Sega site that you've not even bothered to source. Well played, Eurogamer.

Its pretty obvious that they will call it "Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics" though. Or "Sonic & Mario at the Winter Olympics"...

I thought the game got old quite fast. There were very few truly satisfying events, and the likes of long and high jump felt extremely sluggish.

Now I atleast know beforehand I can skip it. The first one didn't keep me occupied longer then a day. Another day in my life I won't get back.

Olympic games needs to come out more often, and sometimes not only olympic games. Look at Winter Games, Summer Games, World Games, California Games, Skate or Die, Ski or Die etc for inspiration. The more games like these, the better - and maybe someday these games will be fun again.

Winter Olympics >> Summer Olympics. Absolutely loved Winter Olympic Games: Lillehammer '94 on the SNES. Basically, if this game includes the biathlon (that's skiing AND shooting, kids!), I'm sold.

This game was really popular in my flat. Mainly because we are all stupidly competitive.

First one wasn't bad, bit patchy, but generally not bad, so this has potential

So, is the first one recommended as a partygame? I will probably not play that game alone, after all. But with a bottle of wine, some beer, tacos and friends, it can be fun, right?

My neice loves the original game.. so what do reviewers know?

And i played it along with her at christmas - and enjoyed it too.. not something i'd buy but it was enjoyable.

Seems to me people who slag it off either havent played it - or will slag off anything that isnt a "mature" shooter

Rizzle - Absolutely loved Lillehammer '94 on the MD (presume it was the same). =D Biathlon was immense. I still remember my Eddie Eagle-esque performances on the ski jump...
