LucasArts' Lucidity confirmed for PC

Firm date for both versions next month.

LucasArts has confirmed that its downloadable puzzle adventure Lucidity will release on PC as well as Xbox Live Arcade on 7th October.

The game was unveiled on Gametrailers TV last week, but mention was only made of the Xbox 360 version, which was said to be launching later this month. Turns out that was slightly optimistic, but only slightly.

Kotaku has the confirmation.

Looks like it'll be a nice puzzle/platformer, but are lucasarts ever going back to full adventure games? It seems that Telltale have picked up where they left off recently with the acquisition of both Sam & Max and Monkey Island franchises..

@twoism: Agreed! As much as I like what has been coming out of LA recently I wish they'd take a leap of faith and develop "full" adventure games. Perhaps they should follow TellTales lead and create some episodic adventures that can be re-packaged as a "full" game at the end of a series?

Day of the Tentacle could easily have been episodic, making a sequel a viable project. Maybe TellTale should acquire the rights to DOTT as well, they'd make a mint!

I'm annoyed! Whilst I'm very glad the game is coming to PC, I'm annoyed because I posted this bit of news in the last Lucidity story on Friday with a link to this LucasArts press release from the same day that clearly states the game is coming to PC and I didn't even get a plus +1 for my trouble. I'm going to sulk now and I don't care how much negative karma I get for it.
