LucasArts revelation on Friday
"Brand-new, original game."
LucasArts plans to pull back the curtain on a completely new game this Friday, if a pair of Tweets are to be believed.
"LucasArts will announce a brand-new original game on this week's [GameTrailers TV] - with first footage. More details soon. (watch it)," Tweeted GTTV host Geoff Keighley, soon echoed by LucasArts (tracked by Blues News).
The GameTrailers TV show airs on Spike TV at 12.30 am on Thursday night / Friday morning. Keep an eye on the GTTV website for the scoop.

I would like to see a remake of The Eidolon on iPhone or handheld device.

I want a new point and click! Given that the genre is now officially back from the dead (Sam and Max, TOMI, Vampyre Tale, Ceville, Dreamfall, SOMI:SE, Wallace and Gromit, Strong Bad, Broken sword remake, ASnother Code), it would make sense for them to return to it. Let's see the old masters showing the new upstarts how it's done

Would be nice, a straight up remake with online support for XBLA would do me.

Further proof:
Lucidity achievement list popped up this week:

LucasArts placed some clues in photos from the PAX event which seem to fit with the reported game details. Like this one:

The game to be announced is believed to be Lucidity, a puzzle/adventure game for XBLA and possibly PSN.
This is supposedly a leaked screenshot of some variety. If so, the art style is very different from anything Lucasarts has farted out for a long time.

Unfortunately for Lucasarts, the old masters now work at Telltale, Double Fine and Hothead. =P

We're probably not getting that, but if we are... that would be a huge chunk of awesome.

There's no technical reasons..
but:
a) pc development is a pain in the backside (compatibility problems between different hardware and the like)
b) pc gamers tend to prefer getting their games for free off mininova... So why bother with the effort of porting to the pc, when it wont sell.. and will actually eat into your xbla sales because people would prefer to pirate the pc version...

Okay.. Im sure you're all totally correct.. the games industry didnt stop making pc games because it was a pain in the backside to do and that so many people pirate pc games it's just not worth the money developing them.
I'm sure there's other reasons..

a) As the pc has millions of different hardware configurations, ATI and nvidia cards, etc .. You'd know if you'd ever made a pc game what a pain in the backside it is to make sure a game works on all of them. So dont lecture me on something you seem to know nothing about.
b) pc piracy would eat into xbla sales. Even WITH a steam release. No ifs or buts about it.

The game is called 'revelation' - can't you people read the bloody headline?

PC development is a pain in the butt unless you have LOADS of pcs to test the game on at your disposal. Trust me, i've been there. Then watch as you get 100 times more illegal downloads than sales - and sob as all your hard work is just ripped off by everyone.
dunno what htis all has to do with lucasarts though.
