"nyone who says that Lost doesn't provide any answers probably hasn't watched many episodes. They've answered a ton of questions since Season One and provided loads more background information on pretty much every established plot element. We know about The Others, we know about the hatches, we know about Dharma - hell, after the phenomenal conclusion to Season 3, we even know who gets off the island and some of what happens to them afterwards."

And i've just watched episode 5 of season 4 last night.

And if that's not giving answers - i dont know what is!

Wont print any spoilers.. but this season has been fucking ace. This is NOT x-files, they ARE answering questions. I firmly expect to FULLY understand whats happening by the end of the series in 2010. (i'm already fairly clued up after the MANY revelations of this season).

They went a bit crappy during mid season 2 and 3 when they were FORCED to add "filler" episodes at request of studio to make the show last longer. But now they have a clear end date and it's obvious they're now working towards getting the story finished.

I fooking love Lost (will be watching episode 5 later tonight), and like a few of its fans have said on here, the old ''Ohhh it's crap it doesn't ever reveal any answers'' doesn't really apply any more. No it hasn't answered the massive questions, as I'm sure they'll slowly be revealed late through season 5 and all through season 6, why would they reveal everything now when they still have 40 odd episodes to get through. But things you would have been confused about in Seasons 1 and 2 have more than likely been answered by now.
What's getting to me now is the writers continuous hints to the work of C.S Lewis, there's even a Chartacter with the same bloody initials all of a sudden.
And what the fuck was a Dharma collared polar bear doing in the desert off the island? :)
Back to the game, I was looking forward to it, played it in work today and was massively dissapointed, the big thing that's bugging me is the fooking dire voice acting. When I first heard Sawyer I actually LOL'd, it was that awful, it's the type of thing that's always going to annoy me so I might not be getting it now.

You know something is wrong when IGN are rating games lower than Eurogamer...

From what I've seen of this game, it's too short and a clear rush-job from Ubi-Soft. Go play Broken Sword and tell me this game is worth a 7/10. I honestly don't think it is.

Not really. Americans and english enjoy different things.

There is no "right" or "wrong"

Personally I only get suspicious if a suspiciously high review score is accompanied by lots and lots of ads for said game.. Like a certain popular shooting game..

Good review, but personally, as a fan of the show, I think the game is worthless. Very short, very easy, poor graphics, dull story, almost all the 'gameplay' happens through menus, the inventory/trade system is pretty much worthless (And I think you lose all your items more than once!), the secrets aren't even secrets and they only unlock dull concept art, the flashbacks are pretty tedious, the voice acting is poor, the faces and animation are hideous...

Bought it yesterday, completed it in one sitting, taking it back today.

Oh, and I worry about the EGers who had trouble with the cave sections. Why the reviewer thought they were tense I don't know; I lit a torch and ran through them first go.

Been playing this with my better half and enjoying it for what it is, a half-decent adventure game. TBH anything more taxing than the gameplay here was always going to be off putting to the core LOST audience of non-gamers. Probably trade once complete as no real replay value though. And Season 4 does indeed rock. Episode 5 was awesome, Desmond and Penny FTW!!!!!!!

twinberettas how the hell do you light a torch in the cave?! I really think EG were having such a bad day when they gave this game the same as Frontlines. Saying this is as good is like saying Port Talbot Town are as good as Arsenal!

Played this for free this weekend. Borrowed it from a game shop to test it. Much better than i feared. Still not a 7/10.
Its about average. Ill give it 5/10. The story is very good actually. The gameplay is boring though.

I'm a diehard Lost fan but this game is really abysmal. Doesn't deserve more than a 3. It degenerates very quickly into a coconut trading game because you can't get through the caves without light, you can't have light without torches, and you have to trade with the characters to get them. What this has to do with Lost I don't know. The voice acting is mostly dire, particularly the guy trying to do Terry O'Quinn and the sound levels fluctuate wildly so you're constantly upping the volume because you can't hear someone only to be deafened seconds later. It would be passable graphically if it weren't for the dreadful tearing and the clunky animation. I would think most Lost viewers will give up after the first terminally boring trip through the caves (if they make it) and definitely will when they're presented with yet another ludicrously contrived reason to force them into the caves again. That is if the crap circuit board puzzles don't get them first.

The game isn't canon, so for all the graphical set dressing (..obviously I'm not talking about those character models which are screamingly awful) it's entirely pointless for any Lost fans to play. The whole point of Lost is unlocking a mystery, sodding around on some island with polar bears or having Conversations With Kate Which Never Happened, is all by the by. It's entirely alien to a show which is crafted around intricate details (even if sometimes it goes a bit awry - hello season three).

It's obviously worth disregarding this game unless you have a wad of cash to burn.

6/10 caves are easy but also trial and error of extreme frustration if you dont save up enough tourches.

shame - the story is cool and the gfx are really well done to recreate the LOST theme, but those electrical puzzles OMG! overused and badly made makes you think your an electrician rather than a reporter, must lame puzzles and badly lit areas make up a game which could have been far more promising had i not finished it in 6 hours!!! and thats after trying to make the most from the casts one liner response to every question you may have no matter how big or small.

"wheres meh boy!"

Really disappointed with the game and I completely disagree with the reviewer on many counts. I'm a big lost fan and I'm most certainly not happy I played this.

First of all it doesn't feel at all like lost. The characters don't act like their on screen counterparts, the script is abysmal and character traits are thrown at you like a wet nappy wrapped around a large rock. They try and catch you up on everything you've found out about the characters over 4 seasons in the first encounter you have with them eg. Locke screaming at a shopkeeper "Don't tell me what I can't do" after a reference that he's in a wheelchair.

Secondly, contrary to what the reviewer wrote, I don't think it ties in very well with the series. Not wanting to go into spoilers or anything but the ending is absolute rubbish and fits in more with bloody Dallas then it does Lost.

Previous points coupled with boring mini games and being left thinking "Why did I even bother" and "That was completely pointless" I think it deserves no more then a 3/10.

Oh Eurogamer, you so very rarely steer me wrong, but when you do...

biglime - Your Lost: Via Domus review was one of the best pieces of work I've seen on videoGaiden. It's reviewing the game from a reasonably objective standpoint rather than gushing about the fan service as Eurogamer does here, and happening to be very funny at the same time.

For everyone else, see it at http://www.bbc.co.uk/videogaiden/

I actually liked this game quite a bit - makes a nice change of pace from shooters. But unskippable cut scenes are criminal, checkpoints that send you back before these cutscenes are death penalty worthy.

Almost a year since I played it last, I see from my comment a couple up. Regardless, I bought it for 360 for £1.99 since I've been in a Lost mood recently, and it's still alright. Certainly for Lost fans only, but for them it's a good little story.

Plus, given recent developents in the TV story, I think the ending makes more sense if you play it now. maybe that's just me :)
