Plus: After Burner! Lead and Gold!

The Lost Planet 2 multiplayer demo is on PlayStation Network today and allows 16 of you to kill each other in various ways and for various reasons. Jolly good.

Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West may also be worth a look. At Ł12, the stakes are high, but the video reveals a pacey and well-presented multiplayer shooter. Add to that developer Fatshark's credentials as maker of Bionic Command Rearmed 2 and this becomes more alluring still.

And then of course we have After Burner Climax, an aerial combat game made of amphetamines. It's missing a bit of TLC but is a recommended purchase nonetheless.

On PSP Minis, you'd be well advised to check out Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess!, a score-attack platformer which download games wrangler Kristan awarded 8/10 at review. "With a focused appeal, and an immediate, addictive set of mechanics, this is (probably) the best PSP Mini game to date," he wrote.

There needs to be more demos of the downloadable games! I've been waiting for Lead and gold but so concerned that my money will be wasted on a laggy Online only game!

Wasn't metal sonic and the death egg zone released last week?

u know what disgusts me about EG? normally absolutely nothing, but i find it shocking tht they didnt bother reviewing either of the uncharted 2 map packs yet wasted 2 whole pages talking about how rubbish the shitulus package is. to anyone still playing uncharted 2 online, i thoroughly reccomend both of them. they are excellent and provide hours of extra fun to an already fantastic package

Got to agree with the comments on Lead and Gold. Would like for a demo or at least an EG review so I can consider if I should buy it to quell my wild west interest until Red Dead comes out.

I blame Sony for the lack of demo's. I'm sure I read somewhere that Sony charges devs for every gb that is downloaded by the end user on the PS store. I can understand big companies forking out for advertising there game but I hope this isn't being done to small dev teams who can't afford to let Sony cut into there profits by releasing a demo of their game.

My god, lost planet looks terrible and has even worse framerate. It seems that it's repeating what its elder sibling did. Awful ps3 port. Will try it on xbox to be sure...

funny the first demo made me decide ill buy lost planet 2 but yesterdays demo made me change my decision. now waiting for a review from EG,that will be the decisive blow.
