LocoRoco PS3 confirmed News

Sony has reportedly confirmed the long-running rumour that LocoRoco is on its way to PlayStation 3.
It's all come out at the "PlayStation Premier" event being held in Tokyo today. IGN reports that the new game is called "Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by LocoRoco".
It will be released through the PlayStation Network and support Sixaxis tilt controls. There's no word on exactly when it's due out, but apparently it's 95 percent complete at the moment.
There's been chatter about a PS3 LocoRoco before now, of course, what with the PSP version being thoroughly enchanting, and the decision to do it on PSN is probably sensible. It may also mean we get it sooner.
Watch out for more from PlayStation Premier as fingers tinkle across keyboards.

I am going loco at the anticipation of getting my greasy and sweaty (hairy too) paws on this game!

Hope they put proper Shoulder button controls in it as well as the expected tilt controls.
And no I don't care how"natural" it may be. I don't like tilt controls - I like buttons. Buttons buttons buttons. Thanks! |

LocoRoco was the game that made me crack and buy a PSP.
Which is now hacked to buggery and plays NES games for me. LocoRoco PS3 may be the game that makes me crack and buy Sonys expensive plaything... Or maybe I will buy the game and wait until the price of PS3 comes down to actually play it :) |

The music I absolutely love from the game that i could listen to over and over and over.... and over and over and over again is the music from the Muja Muja boss levels.
Still undecided whether i like the Black Loco's singing to it or the Yellow Loco's. Yes i went there, i love the racist Loco's so sue me :P |

There was more than chatter about a new Locoroco. At GDC '07 the new locorocos were shown, as you can see in the back of a recent PSM3 (May 2007), in a piccy of a projector slide from the session...They were all furry!

That's what they used to say about Sonic on Nintendo hardware back in the day ;-) Seriously, anyone played Warioware Twisted on the GBA - got it yesterday (only came ou in the US) and it uses tilt controls, a truly excellent game! eBay it, it is so cheap! |

First Screen ^ NOT furry! IGN also notes: Sony describes the game as "It's LocoRoco, but it's not -- a peculiar extra chapter." That, and a sentence with three different uses of the world play: "Even if you don't play it [as in control the game], the world and the LocoRoco will play [as in both playing amongst themselves and as in playing back like a video] on their own."
